Apple has revealed the 8 Samsung Mobile phones , which it intends to ban throughout United States. This came few days after the telecommunication giant won a keenly contested legal battle with Samsung over the latter’s infringements on its patents. Even though the legal battle fetched $1 billion for Apple, the well-known Cupertino company went back to court, this time with the list of 8 popular Samsung devices which it demand to be withdrawn from the United States Market.
The controversial Samsung products include :
Galaxy Prevail, Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S Showcase, Galaxy S2 (AT&T), Galaxy S2 Epic 4G, Galaxy S2 (Skyrocket), Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile)and lastly, the Droid Charge.
Even though each of the listed phones have been found to infringe on the intellectual property of Apple, the company still has to prove to the court, the chances of an “irreparable harm” if the Samsung products are not removed from the country’s market.
Most of the Samsung products listed above are now getting scarcer in the US market. But this is actually to the advantage of Samsung as it’ll still experience some significant sales even if Apple win this second sale. But whether Apple will win this second court case or not still remain largely unpredictable. Even Apple’s revelation is currently affecting some previous court injunction it won over Samsung. For instance, Samsung is now requesting the court to nullify its earlier ruling on Galaxy Tab 10.1, which is yet another controversial product from Samsung. It could be a preliminary injunction on that product is already in force. But Samsung has now faulted that earlier ruling based on the disappearance of the device from the list presented by Apple and had even vowed to ensure the continued existence of its product.
